Coa National Archeological Park


Traveling from the city of Porto to Vila Nova de Foz Côa.


1 – You have to book your visit with at least one week in advance. All visits are guided.

2 – If you plan to travel from Porto to the Park, the closest station is Pocinho in the Douro region. The train ride takes approximately 3 ½ hours. To get a time table regarding trains please visit http://www.cp.pt/ click on the English version and go to time table. There you should insert the station of origin Porto-Campanha and final destination Pocinho . Pocinho station is 5 miles from the town of Vila Nova de Foz Côa where the main Côa National Park office is located, right in the center of town. Make sure you e-mail the office in advance not only to book your visit but also to obtain information on how to get from and to the train station. You might need to stay in town overnight.
